Senior Boys GAA team crowned a great year with All Ireland Success

The Senior Boys GAA team achieved great success at national level beating St Declan's Community College from Waterford in the All Ireland Schools "C" Championship in Newbridge on Easter Saturday. The final score was 1 - 9 to 0 - 3. Scores came from Jonathan Commins, Ciaran Keenan, Tristan Knowles and Carl Gillespie. These scores sealed victory for Ardee Community School in a wonderful team effort.

The team for Ardee Community School were: Alan McGauley, Cian Taaffe, Jack Grimes, Andrew Bingham, Cathal Fleming, Donal McKenny, Gavin Kirk, Neil Kerr, Liam Jackson, Trevor Matthews, Conor Gillespie (0-1), Tristan Knowles(0-1), Ciaran Keenan(0-1) Carl Gillespie (1-0) and Jonathan Commins (0-6).

Subs: Sean Sweeney for Tristan Knowles, Joe Mulholland for Gavin Kirk, Marc Ward for Cian Taaffe.

 

The team for St Declan's Community College were: Ben Kirwan, John Sheahan, Conor Burns, Brendan Gough, Aidan Behan, Anthony Lonergan, Reece Power, Tom Walsh, James Power, Tommy Carberry, Donal Quelly (0-1), Shane O'Brien, Percy O'Callaghan, John Power (0-1) and Darragh Power (0-1).

 

This win crowns a great year for the team who had already won the Lennon Cup. Congratulations to all involved including Mr Anthony Durnin manager of the team.
