The first year soccer team got off to an exhilarating start in their opening league game against O’Carolan College of Nobber on Wednesday 2nd Feb, thrashing them 6-0. Outstanding team performance right across the field, with the unplayable Tadhg Gorman hitting a hatrick along with goals from Tadhg Rooney, Jack Martin and Oisin Drumgoole. The win was even more impressive given the boys played 24 hours earlier in the cup, beating St Benildus of Dublin 4-2 to progress to the 2nd round of the competition. Up next week in the cup is St Kevin’s of Finglas followed by Bremore Balbriggan in the league. Both games to be played at home. Well done boys keep up the great performances..!
